How to Add Your Genealogy

We are excited to offer this online family tree. We hope family members will take this opportunity to add their family data to make this the most complete family database any family member has.

Before you send me your information, please do some research to make your information as complete as possible.

Please follow the formats below:

Include full names ie: First Middle (if any) Last. Married women need their First Middle Maiden names.

You may include the parents of the in-law spouses, but not the in-laws' siblings or other ancestors.

Date format is as follows: 18 Sep 1893.

Location format is as follows: City, County, State, Country. As in: Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, USA. Do not include the word "County".

There are three ways to add your genealogy branch to our database:

1 - Clean up your information in your desktop genealogy program, such as consolidating all the location spellings so there aren't 10 ways that "Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah" is input. If the only new information you want to add to the online family tree is your own twig of the family tree (for instance from perhaps your grandparents and their descendants), then please make a GEDCOM of only those people, so I don't have to go through the tedious process of deleting a lot of people I already have information for. Also, make sure your data is as complete as possible by contacting your family members and gathering it. LDS ordinance information is welcome. Anyone interested in viewing that information online, however, must request it via email after they register.

Then email me a copy of your GEDCOM. I will double-check your data, then add it to my desk-top program, then download a new copy to the website.

2 - You can type your data into an email to us, and we will add that information to the database.

3 - You can fill out the form below (one for each marriage/family) and the information will be sent to me and added. Please be as complete as possible. If you need space for more than 4 children, please submit the form, then fill out a new one with the same parents (you don't necessarily need to fill in all of the parents data again, just their names). If you don't have information for an item, just leave it blank.
